एकादशस तथा तवष्टा विष्णुर दवादश उच्यते जघन्यजः स सर्वेषाम आदित्यानां गुणाधिकः ॥ १-५९-१६ ॥
'Eleventh is Twashtri, and the twelfth is Vishnu. Jagnya is considered the most excellent among all the qualities of the Adityas.' ॥ 1-59-16 ॥
english translation
ekAdazasa tathA tavaSTA viSNura davAdaza ucyate jaghanyajaH sa sarveSAma AdityAnAM guNAdhikaH ॥ 1-59-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएक एव दितेः पुत्रॊ हिरण्यकशिपुः समृतः नाम्ना खयातास तु तस्येमे पुत्राः पञ्च महात्मनः ॥ १-५९-१७ ॥
'Diti had one son called Hiranyakasipu. And the illustrious Hiranyakasipu had five sons, all famous throughout the world.' ॥ 1-59-17 ॥
english translation
eka eva diteH putrò hiraNyakazipuH samRtaH nAmnA khayAtAsa tu tasyeme putrAH paJca mahAtmanaH ॥ 1-59-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरह्रादः पूर्वजस तेषां संह्रादस तदनन्तरम अनुह्रादस तृतीयॊ ऽभूत तस्माच च शिबिबाष्कलौ ॥ १-५९-१८ ॥
'The eldest of them all was Prahlada, the next was Sahradha; the third was Anuhrada; and after him were Sivi and Vashkala.' ॥ 1-59-18 ॥

parahrAdaH pUrvajasa teSAM saMhrAdasa tadanantarama anuhrAdasa tRtIyò 'bhUta tasmAca ca zibibASkalau ॥ 1-59-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरह्रादस्य तरयः पुत्राः खयाताः सर्वत्र भारत विरॊचनश च कुम्भश च निकुम्भश चेति विश्रुताः ॥ १-५९-१९ ॥
'And, O Bharata, it is known everywhere that Prahlada had three sons. They were Virochana, Kumbha, and Nikumbha.' ॥ 1-59-19 ॥

parahrAdasya tarayaH putrAH khayAtAH sarvatra bhArata viròcanaza ca kumbhaza ca nikumbhaza ceti vizrutAH ॥ 1-59-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविरॊचनस्य पुत्रॊ ऽभूद बलिर एकः परतापवान बलेश च परथितः पुत्रॊ बाणॊ नाम महासुरः ॥ १-५९-२० ॥
'And unto Virochana was born a son, Vali, of great prowess. And the son of Vali is known to be the great Asura, Vana.' ॥ 1-59-20 ॥

viròcanasya putrò 'bhUda balira ekaH paratApavAna baleza ca parathitaH putrò bANò nAma mahAsuraH ॥ 1-59-20 ॥
