अभ्यगच्छन्न ऋतौ नारीं न कामान नानृतौ तथा तथैवान्यानि भूतानि तिर्यग्यॊनिगतान्य अपि ऋतौ दारांश च गच्छन्ति तदा सम भरतर्षभ ॥ १-५८-९ ॥

'And every man at that time went in unto his wife during her season and never from lust and out of season. And, O bull of the Bharata race, in the same way, other creatures also, even those born in the race of birds went in unto their wives during the season alone.' ॥ 1-58-9 ॥

english translation

abhyagacchanna Rtau nArIM na kAmAna nAnRtau tathA tathaivAnyAni bhUtAni tiryagyònigatAnya api Rtau dArAMza ca gacchanti tadA sama bharatarSabha ॥ 1-58-9 ॥
