विव्यासैकं चतुर्धा यॊ वेदं वेद विदां वरः परावरज्ञॊ बरह्मर्षिः कविः सत्यव्रतः शुचिः ॥ १-५४-५ ॥
'The foremost among the knowers of the Vedas, he divided the scriptures into four parts. This Brahmana Rishi possessed profound knowledge of the supreme Brahma, intuitive understanding of the past, holiness, and a deep commitment to truth.' ॥ 1-54-5 ॥
