काञ्चनं विष्टरं तस्मै सदस्यानुमते परभुः आसनं कल्पयाम आस यथा शक्रॊ बृहस्पतेः ॥ १-५४-११ ॥
'And the king with the approval of his Sadasyas, gave the Rishi a golden seat as Indra did to Vrihaspati.' ॥ 1-54-11 ॥
english translation
kAJcanaM viSTaraM tasmai sadasyAnumate parabhuH AsanaM kalpayAma Asa yathA zakrò bRhaspateH ॥ 1-54-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्रॊपविष्टं वरदं देवर्षिगणपूजितम पूजयाम आस राजेन्द्रः शास्त्रदृष्टेन कर्मणा ॥ १-५४-१२ ॥
'And when the Rishi, capable of granting boons and adored by the celestial Rishis themselves, had been seated, the king of kings worshipped him according to the rites of the scriptures.' ॥ 1-54-12 ॥
english translation
tatròpaviSTaM varadaM devarSigaNapUjitama pUjayAma Asa rAjendraH zAstradRSTena karmaNA ॥ 1-54-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपाद्यम आचमनीयं च अर्घ्यं गां च विधानतः पितामहाय कृष्णाय तद अर्हाय नयवेदयत ॥ १-५४-१३ ॥
'The king then ceremoniously presented water for washing the feet and mouth, along with the Arghya, to his deserving grandfather, Krishna, and also offered cattle.' ॥ 1-54-13 ॥
english translation
pAdyama AcamanIyaM ca arghyaM gAM ca vidhAnataH pitAmahAya kRSNAya tada arhAya nayavedayata ॥ 1-54-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरतिगृह्य च तां पूजां पाण्डवाज जनमेजयात गां चैव समनुज्ञाय वयासः परीतॊ ऽभवत तदा ॥ १-५४-१४ ॥
'And accepting those offerings from the Pandava Janamejaya and ordering the kine also not to be slain, Vyasa became much gratified.' ॥ 1-54-14 ॥

paratigRhya ca tAM pUjAM pANDavAja janamejayAta gAM caiva samanujJAya vayAsaH parItò 'bhavata tadA ॥ 1-54-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथा संपूजयित्वा तं यत्नेन परपितामहम उपॊपविश्य परीतात्मा पर्यपृच्छद अनामयम ॥ १-५४-१५ ॥
'After offering adorations, the king bowed to his great-grandfather, and with joyous anticipation, he seated himself and inquired about the well-being of the venerable sage.' ॥ 1-54-15 ॥
