तं वै नृप वरं गत्वा दीक्षितं जनमेजयम वाग्भिर मङ्गलयुक्ताभिस तॊषयिष्ये ऽदय मातुल यथा स यज्ञॊ नृपतेर निर्वर्तिष्यति सत्तम ।। १-४९-२० ।।

'Therefore, without further delay, O uncle, I shall proceed there today. I will express my gratification to the reigning monarch Janamejaya at the ongoing sacrifice, offering words imbued with blessings, with the intention that, O distinguished one, the sacrifice may come to a halt.' ।। 1-49-20 ।।

english translation

taM vai nRpa varaM gatvA dIkSitaM janamejayama vAgbhira maGgalayuktAbhisa tòSayiSye 'daya mAtula yathA sa yajJò nRpatera nirvartiSyati sattama || 1-49-20 ||
