[स] एवम उक्तस तथेत्य उक्त्वा स आस्तीकॊ मातरं तदा अब्रवीद दुःखसंतप्तं वासुकिं जीवयन्न इव ॥ १-४९-१७ ॥
'Continuing, Sauti narrated, "Responding to these words, Astika assured his mother, 'Certainly, I will.' Then, turning to the distressed Vasuki, he spoke as if breathing life into him."' ॥ 1-49-17 ॥
