[रत्विजह] अस्ति राजन महत सत्रं तवदर्थं देवनिर्मितम सर्पसत्रम इति खयातं पुराणे कथ्यते नृप ॥ १-४७-६ ॥

sanskrit

'The chief priest answered, 'There is, O king, a great sacrifice for thee devised by the gods themselves. It is known as the snakesacrifice, and is read of in the Puranas.' ॥ 1-47-6 ॥

english translation

[ratvijaha] asti rAjana mahata satraM tavadarthaM devanirmitama sarpasatrama iti khayAtaM purANe kathyate nRpa ॥ 1-47-6 ॥
