स बाल एव तत्रस्थश चरन्न अमितबुद्धिमान गृहे पन्नगराजस्य परयत्नात पर्यरक्ष्यत ॥ १-४४-२१ ॥
'Despite being a young boy, Astika displayed remarkable maturity and intelligence. He was carefully nurtured in the serpent palace.' ॥ 1-44-21 ॥
