भगवान इव देवेशः शूलपाणिर हिरण्यदः विवर्धमानः सर्वांस तान पन्नगान अभ्यहर्षयत ।। १-४४-२२ ।।

sanskrit

'And he was like the illustrious lord of the celestials, Mahadeva of the golden form, the wielder of the trident. And he grew up day by day, the delight of all the snakes.' ।। 1-44-22 ।।

english translation

bhagavAna iva devezaH zUlapANira hiraNyadaH vivardhamAnaH sarvAMsa tAna pannagAna abhyaharSayata || 1-44-22 ||
