ततः स ववृधे गर्भॊ महातेजा रविप्रभः यथा सॊमॊ दविजश्रेष्ठ शुक्लपक्षॊदितॊ दिवि ।। १-४४-१६ ।।

'Then, O best of Brahmanas, the embryo endued with great splendour, began to develop, like the moon in the heavens in the bright fortnight.' ।। 1-44-16 ।।

'And in due time, the sister of the snakes, O Brahmana, gave birth to a son of the splendor of a celestial child, who became the reliever of the fears of his ancestors and maternal relatives.' ।। 1-44-17 ।।

'Despite being a young boy, Astika was unwavering in his vows, displaying great intelligence and possessing various virtues, knowledge, and a detachment from worldly pleasures. He became renowned by the name Astika.' ।। 1-44-19 ।।
