नावमानात कृतवती तवाहं परतिबॊधनम धर्मलॊपॊ न ते विप्र सयाद इत्य एतत कृतं मया ॥ १-४३-२६ ॥
'I have made this proclamation to you, not out of disrespect, but to awaken your understanding. May there be no breach of righteousness for you, O Brahmin.' ॥ 1-43-26 ॥
english translation
उवाच भार्याम इत्य उक्तॊ जरत्कारुर महातपाः ऋषिः कॊपसमाविष्टस तयक्तुकामॊ भुजंगमाम ॥ १-४३-२७ ॥
'The sage Jaratkaru, renowned for his ascetic virtues, overwhelmed with anger and inclined to abandon his spouse.' ॥ 1-43-27 ॥
english translation
न मे वाग अनृतं पराह गमिष्ये ऽहं भुजंगमे समयॊ हय एष मे पूर्वं तवया सह मिथः कृतः ॥ १-४३-२८ ॥
'Addressing his wife with these words, he said, "O fair one, I have never spoken an untruth. Hence, I shall depart."' ॥ 1-43-28 ॥
english translation
सुखम अस्म्य उषितॊ भद्रे बरूयास तवं भरातरं शुभे इतॊ मयि गते भीरु गतः स भगवान इति तवं चापि मयि निष्क्रान्ते न शॊकं कर्तुम अर्हसि ॥ १-४३-२९ ॥
'O auspicious one, you may speak of your welfare, saying that your husband has departed happily. When I am gone, tell others that your revered husband has become divine. And when you are separated from me, you should not feel sorrow.' ॥ 1-43-29 ॥

इत्य उक्ता सानवद्याङ्गी परत्युवाच पतिं तदा जरत्कारुं जरत्कारुश चिन्ताशॊकपरायणा ॥ १-४३-३० ॥
'Having been addressed thus, she, with a quivering body and tearful eyes, then replied to her husband Jaratkaru, who was engrossed in contemplation and sorrow.' ॥ 1-43-30 ॥
