मन्दभाग्यॊ ऽलपभाग्यानां बन्धुः स खिल नः कुले जरत्कारुर इति खयातॊ वेदवेदाङ्गपारगः नियतात्मा महात्मा च सुव्रतः सुमहातपाः ।। १-४१-१८ ।।

sanskrit

'It matters little, however, whether he is or is not. Unfortunate as we are, we have a thread in one, known as Jaratkaru. The unfortunate one has gone through the Vedas and their branches and is practicing asceticism alone. He is one with soul under complete control.' ।। 1-41-18 ।।

english translation

mandabhAgyò 'lapabhAgyAnAM bandhuH sa khila naH kule jaratkArura iti khayAtò vedavedAGgapAragaH niyatAtmA mahAtmA ca suvrataH sumahAtapAH || 1-41-18 ||
