[देवाह] का हि लब्ध्वा परियान पुत्राञ शपेद एवं पितामह ऋते कद्रूं तीक्ष्णरूपां देवदेव तवाग्रतः ॥ १-३४-७ ॥
'The gods spoke, "O Grandsire, the divine ruler of all gods, who but the relentless Kadru, after receiving such beloved offspring, would dare to cast such a curse, even in your august presence?"' ॥ 1-34-7 ॥
