[स] मातुः सकाशात तं शापं शरुत्वा पन्नगसत्तमः वासुकिश चिन्तयाम आस शापॊ ऽयं न भवेत कथम ॥ १-३३-१ ॥
'Hearing the curse from his mother directly, the noble serpent Vasuki contemplated, thinking, 'How can this curse not come to pass?'" ॥ 1-33-1 ॥
english translation
[sa] mAtuH sakAzAta taM zApaM zarutvA pannagasattamaH vAsukiza cintayAma Asa zApò 'yaM na bhaveta kathama ॥ 1-33-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः स मन्त्रयाम आस भरातृभिः सह सर्वशः ऐरावतप्रभृतिभिर ये सम धर्मपरायणाः ॥ १-३३-२ ॥
'He held a consultation with all his brothers, Airavata and others, intent upon doing what they deemed best for themselves.' ॥ 1-33-2 ॥
english translation
tataH sa mantrayAma Asa bharAtRbhiH saha sarvazaH airAvataprabhRtibhira ye sama dharmaparAyaNAH ॥ 1-33-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[वा] अयं शापॊ यथॊद्धिष्टॊ विदितं वस तथानघाः तस्य शापस्य मॊक्षार्थं मन्त्रयित्वा यतामहे ॥ १-३३-३ ॥
'Understanding the nature of this curse as it has been pronounced, O sinless ones, we shall contemplate on the means to alleviate this curse for its redemption.' ॥ 1-33-3 ॥
english translation
[vA] ayaM zApò yathòddhiSTò viditaM vasa tathAnaghAH tasya zApasya mòkSArthaM mantrayitvA yatAmahe ॥ 1-33-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्वेषाम एव शापानां परतिघातॊ हि विद्यते न तु मात्राभिशप्तानां मॊक्षॊ विद्येत पन्नगाः ॥ १-३३-४ ॥
'Remedies certainly exist for all curses, but no remedy can avail those cursed by their mother' ॥ 1-33-4 ॥
english translation
sarveSAma eva zApAnAM paratighAtò hi vidyate na tu mAtrAbhizaptAnAM mòkSò vidyeta pannagAH ॥ 1-33-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअव्ययस्याप्रमेयस्य सत्यस्य च तथाग्रतः शप्ता इत्य एव मे शरुत्वा जायते हृदि वेपथुः ॥ १-३३-५ ॥
'Hearing that this curse hath been uttered in the presence of the Immutable, the Infinite, and the True one, my heart trembles.' ॥ 1-33-5 ॥

avyayasyAprameyasya satyasya ca tathAgrataH zaptA itya eva me zarutvA jAyate hRdi vepathuH ॥ 1-33-5 ॥
