[षेस] यथाह देवॊ वरदः परजापतिर; महीपतिर भूतपतिर जगत्पतिः तथा महीं धारयितास्मि निश्चलां; परयच्छ तां मे शिरसि परजापते ॥ १-३२-२० ॥

'Sesha said, 'O divine Lord of all creatures, bestower of boons, ruler of the Earth, master of every created entity, sovereign of the universe, I shall indeed, as you command, stabilize the Earth. Therefore, O lord of all creatures, kindly place her upon my head.' ॥ 1-32-20 ॥
