[स] बहुत्वान नामधेयानि भुजगानां तपॊधन न कीर्तयिष्ये सर्वेषां पराधान्येन तु मे शृणु ॥ १-३१-४ ॥

sanskrit

'Sauti said, O thou whose wealth is asceticism, from fear of being lengthy, I shall not mention the names of all the snakes. But I will recite the names of the chief ones. Listen to me!' ॥ 1-31-4 ॥

english translation

[sa] bahutvAna nAmadheyAni bhujagAnAM tapòdhana na kIrtayiSye sarveSAM parAdhAnyena tu me zRNu ॥ 1-31-4 ॥
