तत्र तं सर्वभूतानि विस्मितान्य अब्रुवंस तदा सुरूपं पत्रम आलक्ष्य सुपर्णॊ ऽयं भवत्व इति ॥ १-१९-२१ ॥
'And having said this, the king of birds cast a feather of his. And all creatures became exceedingly glad, beholding that excellent feather of Garuda so cast off.' ॥ 1-29-21 ॥
english translation
दृष्ट्वा तद अद्भुतं चापि सहस्राक्षः पुरंदरः खगॊ महद इदं भूतम इति मत्वाभ्यभाषत ॥ १-१९-२२ ॥
'And seeing that the feather was very beautiful, they said, 'Let this bird be called Suparna (having fair feathers).' ॥ 1-29-22 ॥
english translation
बलं विज्ञातुम इच्छामि यत ते परम अनुत्तमम सख्यं चानन्तम इच्छामि तवया सह खगॊत्तम ॥ १-१९-२३ ॥
'And Purandara of a thousand eyes, witnessing this wonderful incident, thought that bird to be some great being and addressed him thus.'"And Indra said, 'O best of birds, I desire to know the limit of thy great strength. I also desire eternal friendship with thee.' ॥ 1-29-23 ॥
