बलं विज्ञातुम इच्छामि यत ते परम अनुत्तमम सख्यं चानन्तम इच्छामि तवया सह खगॊत्तम ॥ १-१९-२३ ॥

sanskrit

'And Purandara of a thousand eyes, witnessing this wonderful incident, thought that bird to be some great being and addressed him thus.'"And Indra said, 'O best of birds, I desire to know the limit of thy great strength. I also desire eternal friendship with thee.' ॥ 1-29-23 ॥

english translation

balaM vijJAtuma icchAmi yata te parama anuttamama sakhyaM cAnantama icchAmi tavayA saha khagòttama ॥ 1-19-23 ॥
