आरम्भः सफलॊ देवि भवितायं तवेप्सितः जनयिष्यसि पुत्रौ दवौ वीरौ तरिभुवनेश्वरौ ॥ १-१७-२६ ॥
'The initiation, O goddess, will be successful; your desired outcome shall manifest. You will give birth to two valiant sons who will become lords of the three worlds.' ॥ 1-27-26 ॥
english translation
तपसा वालखिल्यानां मम संकल्पजौ तथा भविष्यतॊ महाभागौ पुत्रौ ते लॊकपूजितौ ॥ १-१७-२७ ॥
'By the penances of the Valakhilyas and by the desire with which I commenced my sacrifice, those sons shall be of exceedingly good fortune and worshipped in the three worlds!' ॥ 1-27-27 ॥
english translation
उवाच चैनां भगवान मारीचः पुनर एव ह धार्यताम अप्रमादेन गर्भॊ ऽयं सुमहॊदयः ॥ १-१७-२८ ॥
'The venerable Kasyapa spoke to her once more, saying, 'Take great care in nurturing these propitious seeds.' ॥ 1-27-28 ॥
english translation
एकः सर्वपतत्रीणाम इन्द्रत्वं कारयिष्यति लॊकसंभावितॊ वीरः कामवीर्यॊ विहंगमः ॥ १-१७-२९ ॥
'These two will be the lords of all winged creatures. These heroic rangers of the skies will be respected in all the worlds, and capable of assuming any form at will.' ॥ 1-27-29 ॥
english translation
शतक्रतुम अथॊवाच परीयमाणः परजापतिः तवत्सहायौ खगाव एतौ भरातरौ ते भविष्यतः ॥ १-१७-३० ॥
'And the Prajapati, gratified with all that took place, then addressed Indra of a hundred sacrifices, saying, 'Thou shalt have two brothers of great energy and prowess, who shall be to thee even as the helpmates.' ॥ 1-27-30 ॥
