'Sauti continued, 'In the meantime, driven by the longing for progeny, Vinata, the virtuous and fortunate daughter of Daksha, who observed vows and had completed her ascetic penance, purified herself through a bath during the season conducive to fruitful companionship. With her desire for offspring, she then approached her husband.' ॥ 1-27-24 ॥
