इति समरवरं सुरास्थितं; परिघसहस्रशतैः समाकुलम विगलितम इव चाम्बरान्तरे; तपन मरीचिविभासितं बभौ ॥ १-१६-४७ ॥

sanskrit

'And in consequence of the gods standing there, that (would be) battle-field, owing to hundreds of thousands of maces furnished with iron spikes, shone like another firmament illumined by the rays of the Sun.' ॥ 1-26-47 ॥

english translation

iti samaravaraM surAsthitaM; parighasahasrazataiH samAkulama vigalitama iva cAmbarAntare; tapana marIcivibhAsitaM babhau ॥ 1-16-47 ॥
