एवम उक्ता भगवता मुनयस ते समभ्ययुः मुक्त्वा शाखां गिरिं पुण्यं हिमवन्तं तपॊ ऽरथिनः ॥ १-१६-१४ ॥

sanskrit

'Sauti continued,' Those ascetics thus addressed by the illustrious Kasyapa, abandoned that bough and went to the sacred mountain of Himavat for purposes of ascetic penances.' ॥ 1-26-14 ॥

english translation

evama uktA bhagavatA munayasa te samabhyayuH muktvA zAkhAM giriM puNyaM himavantaM tapò 'rathinaH ॥ 1-16-14 ॥
