[जरिता] अहं हि तं परजानामि हृतं शयेनेन मूषकम अत एव भयं नास्ति करियतां वचनं मम ॥ १-२२२-११ ॥
'Their mother said confidently, "I am certain that the mouse has been carried away by the hawk. Therefore, children, you have nothing to fear. Follow my instructions."' ॥ 1-222-11 ॥
english translation
[षार्न्गकाह] न तवं मिथ्यॊपचारेण मॊक्षयेथा भयं महत समाकुलेषु जञानेषु न बुद्धिकृतम एव तत ॥ १-२२२-१२ ॥
'The young ones reiterated, "Mother, we are not accusing you of dispelling our fears with a false story. When a person's reasoning is disturbed, whatever they do can hardly be considered their deliberate action.' ॥ 1-222-12 ॥
english translation
न चॊपकृतम अस्माभिर न चास्मान वेत्थ ये वयम पीड्यमाना भरस्य अस्मान का सती के वयं तव ॥ १-२२२-१३ ॥
'You have not received any benefit from us, nor do you know who we are. Why then do you strive to protect us at such great cost to yourself? What do we mean to you?' ॥ 1-222-13 ॥

तरुणी दर्शनीयासि समर्था भर्तुर एषणे अनुगच्छ सवभर्तारं पुत्रान आप्स्यसि शॊभनान ॥ १-२२२-१४ ॥
'You are young and beautiful, capable of seeking out your husband. Go to him. You will have good children once more.' ॥ 1-222-14 ॥

वयम अप्य अग्निम आविश्य लॊकान पराप्स्यामहे शुभान अथास्मान न दहेद अग्निर आयास तवं पुनर एव नः ॥ १-२२२-१५ ॥
'Let us enter the fire and attain regions of happiness. If the fire does not consume us, you can come back and reclaim us.' ॥ 1-222-15 ॥
