सनेहम उत्सृज्य मातस तवं पत यत्र न हव्यवाट अस्मासु हि विनष्टेषु भवितारः सुतास तव तवयि मातर विनष्टायां न नः सयात कुलसंततिः ।। १-२२१-१२ ।।

sanskrit

'Vaisampayana said, "To their grieving mother, the young ones spoke thus: 'O mother, let go of your attachment to us and flee to a place where the fire cannot reach. If we perish here, you can have other children born to you. But if you, O mother, perish, our lineage will come to an end.'"' ।। 1-221-12 ।।

english translation

sanehama utsRjya mAtasa tavaM pata yatra na havyavATa asmAsu hi vinaSTeSu bhavitAraH sutAsa tava tavayi mAtara vinaSTAyAM na naH sayAta kulasaMtatiH || 1-221-12 ||
