तस्मिन वने दह्यमाने षड अग्निर न ददाह च अश्वसेनं मयं चापि चतुरः शार्ङ्गकान इति ।। १-२१९-४० ।।

sanskrit

'Vaisampayana continued, 'Protected by Krishna and Partha from Indra, Agni, endowed with great intelligence, burned that forest for fifteen days. During the conflagration, Agni spared only six inhabitants of the forest: Aswasena, Maya, and four birds known as Sarngakas.'' ।। 1-219-40 ।।

tasmina vane dahyamAne SaDa agnira na dadAha ca azvasenaM mayaM cApi caturaH zArGgakAna iti || 1-219-40 ||
