तयॊर बलात परित्रातुं तं दावं तु यदा सुराः नाशक्नुवञ शमयितुं तदाभूवन पराङ्मुखाः ॥ १-२१९-१० ॥

sanskrit

'When the celestials realized they could not quench the conflagration or protect the forest from the might of Krishna and Arjuna, they withdrew from the scene.' ॥ 1-219-10 ॥

english translation

tayòra balAta paritrAtuM taM dAvaM tu yadA surAH nAzaknuvaJa zamayituM tadAbhUvana parAGmukhAH ॥ 1-219-10 ॥
