तांस तथॊत्पततः पार्थः शरैः संछिद्य खण्डशः दीप्यमाने ततः परास्यत परहसन कृष्णवर्त्मनि ॥ १-२१७-११ ॥

'Arjuna's arrows pierced the birds that attempted to flee from the conflagration. Severed into pieces, they fell into the blazing fire below.' ॥ 1-217-11 ॥

english translation

tAMsa tathòtpatataH pArthaH zaraiH saMchidya khaNDazaH dIpyamAne tataH parAsyata parahasana kRSNavartmani ॥ 1-217-11 ॥
