स सूर्यस्याभितॊ याति वैनतेयॊ विहंगमः सूर्यरश्मि परीताश च मूर्च्छिताः पन्नगाभवन तदवस्थान सुतान दृष्ट्वा कद्रूः शक्रम अथास्तुवत ॥ १-२१-६ ॥
'And that ranger of the skies born of Vinata began to ascend towards the Sun. And thereupon the snakes, scorched by the rays of the Sun, swooned away. And Kadru seeing her sons in that state prayed to Indra.' ॥ 1-21-6 ॥

नमस ते देवदेवेश नमस ते बलसूदन नमुचिघ्न नमस ते ऽसतु सहस्राक्ष शचीपते ॥ १-२१-७ ॥
'She offered her prayers to Indra, expressing, "I humbly bow to you, the sovereign of all the gods, the vanquisher of Vritra, the conqueror of Namuchi, and the one with a thousand eyes, the spouse of Shachi."' ॥ 1-21-7 ॥

सर्पाणां सूर्यतप्तानां वारिणा तवं पलवॊ भव तवम एव परमं तराणम अस्माकम अमरॊत्तम ॥ १-२१-८ ॥
'Through your benevolent showers, be the guardian of the serpents afflicted by the Sun. O best among deities, you are our supreme protector.' ॥ 1-21-8 ॥

ईशॊ हय असि पयः सरष्टुं तवम अनल्पं पुरंदर तवम एव मेघस तवं वायुस तवम अग्निर वैद्युतॊ ऽमबरे ॥ १-२१-९ ॥
'O Purandara, you possess the ability to bestow abundant rain. You are Vayu, the air, the clouds, fire, and the lightning in the skies. You propel the clouds and are known as the great cloud that will darken the universe at the end of the Yuga.' ॥ 1-21-9 ॥

तवम अभ्रघनविक्षेप्ता तवाम एवाहुर पुनर घनम तवं वज्रम अतुलं घॊरं घॊषवांस तवं बलाहकः ॥ १-२१-१० ॥
'You are the formidable and unparalleled thunder, and the resounding clouds.' ॥ 1-21-10 ॥
