[तापसाह] गराहाः पञ्च वसन्त्य एषु हरन्ति च तपॊधनान अत एतानि वर्ज्यन्ते तीर्थानि कुरुनन्दन ॥ १-२०८-६ ॥

sanskrit

'Hearing this, the ascetics replied, "In these waters dwell five large crocodiles that seize any ascetics who happen to bathe in them. For this reason, O descendant of Kuru's race, these waters are avoided."' ॥ 1-208-6 ॥

english translation

[tApasAha] garAhAH paJca vasantya eSu haranti ca tapòdhanAna ata etAni varjyante tIrthAni kurunandana ॥ 1-208-6 ॥
