आनुपूर्व्येण तीर्थानि दृष्टवान कुरुसत्तमः नदीं चॊत्पलिनीं रम्याम अरण्यं नैमिषं परति ॥ १-२०७-६ ॥
'That foremost scion of the Kuru lineage beheld many sacred water bodies one after another. In the forest of Naimisha, he saw the delightful river Utpalini adorned with lotuses.' ॥ 1-207-6 ॥
english translation
नन्दाम अपरनन्दां च कौशिकीं च यशस्विनीम महानदीं गयां चैव गङ्गाम अपि च भारत ॥ १-२०७-७ ॥
'As well as the rivers Nanda and Apara Nanda, the renowned Kausiki, and the mighty rivers Gaya and Ganga, along with all other sacred water regions.' ॥ 1-207-7 ॥
english translation
एवं सर्वाणि तीर्थानि पश्यमानस तथाश्रमान आत्मनः पावनं कुर्वन बराह्मणेभ्यॊ ददौ वसु ॥ १-२०७-८ ॥
'There, he purified himself with the customary rites, O Bharata, and generously gave many cows to the Brahmanas.' ॥ 1-207-8 ॥
english translation
अङ्गवङ्ग कलिङ्गेषु यानि पुण्यानि कानि चित जगाम तानि सर्वाणि तीर्थान्य आयतनानि च दृष्ट्वा च विधिवत तानि धनं चापि ददौ ततः ॥ १-२०७-९ ॥
'Arjuna visited all the regions of sacred waters and other holy places in Vanga and Kalinga. After seeing them all and performing the proper ceremonies, he generously gave away much wealth.' ॥ 1-207-9 ॥
english translation
कलिङ्ग राष्ट्रद्वारेषु बराह्मणाः पाण्डवानुगाः अभ्यनुज्ञाय कौन्तेयम उपावर्तन्त भारत ॥ १-२०७-१० ॥
'Then, O Bharata, all those Brahmanas, following the son of Pandu, bid him farewell at the gates of the kingdom of Kalinga and ceased to accompany him further.' ॥ 1-207-10 ॥
