[वै] कथयित्वा तु तत सर्वं बराह्मणेभ्यः स भारत परययौ हिमवत्पार्श्वं ततॊ वज्रधरात्मजः ॥ १-२०७-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana said, "The son of the wielder of the thunderbolt, after narrating everything to the Brahmanas residing with him, set out for the slopes of the Himalayas."' ॥ 1-207-1 ॥
english translation
[vai] kathayitvA tu tata sarvaM barAhmaNebhyaH sa bhArata parayayau himavatpArzvaM tatò vajradharAtmajaH ॥ 1-207-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअगस्त्यवटम आसाद्य वसिष्ठस्य च पर्वतम भृगुतुङ्गे च कौन्तेयः कृतवाञ शौचम आत्मनः ॥ १-२०७-२ ॥
'Arriving at the spot called Agastyavata, he next ascended Vasishtha's peak. From there, the son of Kunti proceeded to the peak of Bhrigu.' ॥ 1-207-2 ॥

'Purifying himself with ablutions and other rites, that foremost of the Kurus gave away many thousands of cows and numerous houses to the Brahmanas.' ॥ 1-207-3 ॥

'Thereafter, that best of men proceeded to the sacred asylum called Hiranyavindu.' ॥ 1-207-4 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअवतीर्य नरश्रेष्ठॊ बराह्मणैः सह भारत पराचीं दिशम अभिप्रेप्सुर जगाम भरतर्षभः ॥ १-२०७-५ ॥
'Performing his ablutions there, that foremost of the sons of Pandu saw many holy regions. Descending from those heights, that chief of men, O Bharata, accompanied by the Brahmanas, journeyed eastward, desiring to behold the regions in that direction.' ॥ 1-207-5 ॥
