परस्परं वर्तमानान दरुपदस्यात्मजां परति यॊ नॊ ऽनुप्रविशेन मॊहात स नॊ दवादश वार्षिकम वनेचरेद बरह्मचर्यम इति वः समयः कृतः ॥ १-२०६-२५ ॥
'It was agreed among all of you that if anyone, out of ignorance, entered the room where one of you was with Drupada's daughter, who is shared by all of you as wife, that person would live as a celibate in the forest for twelve years.' ॥ 1-206-25 ॥
