तव चापि परियं कर्तुम इच्छामि जलचारिणि अनृतं नॊक्तपूर्वं च मया किं चन कर्हि चित ॥ १-२०६-२२ ॥

'O guardian of the waters, I am eager to fulfill your wish if possible. Throughout my life, I have never spoken of an untruth. Therefore, tell me, O maiden of the Naga clan, how I may act in a way that fulfills your desire without committing any falsehood or neglect of duty.' ॥ 1-206-22 ॥

tava cApi pariyaM kartuma icchAmi jalacAriNi anRtaM nòktapUrvaM ca mayA kiM cana karhi cita ॥ 1-206-22 ॥
