स परवेशाय चाशक्तॊ गमनाय च पाण्डवः तस्य चार्तस्य तैर वाक्यैश चॊद्यमानः पुनः पुनः आक्रन्दे तत्र कौन्तेयश चिन्तयाम आस दुःखितः ॥ १-२०५-१२ ॥
'Arjuna, therefore, was unable to either enter the chamber or go alone with the Brahmana, despite being repeatedly urged by the Brahmana's weeping pleas.' ॥ 1-205-12 ॥
