सप्त शलॊकसहस्राणि तथा नव शतानि च शलॊकाश च चतुराशीतिर दृष्टॊ गरन्थॊ महात्मना ॥ १-२-९६ ॥
'Seven thousand and nine hundred verses, as well as nine hundred, In addition to eighty-four verses, are seen in the great scripture.' ॥ 1-2-96 ॥

'The second section is the elaborate "Sabha Parva" or the Assembly Book, rich in content. This part revolves around the construction of the magnificent hall by the Pandavas and thei assessment of their loyal followers.' ॥ 1-2-97 ॥

'The description of the lokapalas by Narada well-acquainted with the celestial regions; the preparations for the Rajasuya sacrifice; the destruction of Jarasandha.' ॥ 1-2-98 ॥

'The narrative includes Vasudeva liberating the princes trapped in the mountain pass, the Pandavas embarking on a sweeping campaign of universal conquest, the princes participating in the Rajasuya sacrifice with their tributes, and the consequential demise of Sisupala during the sacrificial ceremony.' ॥ 1-2-99 ॥

'In connection with the offering of arghya; Bhimasena's ridicule of Duryodhana in the assembly; Duryodhana's sorrow and envy at the sight of the magnificent scale on which the arrangements had been made.' ॥ 1-2-100 ॥
