अथर्चीकादयॊ ऽभयेत्य पितरॊ बराह्मणर्षभम तं कषमस्वेति सिषिधुस ततः स विरराम ह ॥ १-२-६ ॥

'Then, overcome with remorse, the illustrious Parashurama, the best among Brahmin sages, approached his ancestors and pleaded, 'Forgive me.' Subsequently, he came to a halt.'॥ 1-2-6 ॥
