ततॊ बकवधः पर्व पर्व चैत्ररथं ततः ततः सवयंवरं देव्याः पाञ्चाल्याः पर्व चॊच्यते ॥ १-२-३६ ॥
'Then comes Baka-badha (slaughter of Baka) and thenChitraratha. The next is called Swayamvara (selection of husband by Panchali), in which Arjuna by the exercise of Kshatriya virtues, won Draupadi for wife.'॥ 1-2-36 ॥

कषत्रधर्मेण निर्मित्य ततॊ वैवाहिकं समृतम विदुरागमनं पर्व राज्यलम्भस तथैव च ॥ १-२-३७ ॥
'Subsequently, it narrates the Vidura's journey, the establishment of Kshatriya dharma, and the following events, including the matrimonial alliances and the acquisition of the kingdom.'॥ 1-2-37 ॥

अर्जुनस्य वनेवासः सुभद्राहरणं ततः सुभद्राहरणाद ऊर्ध्वं जञेयं हरणहारिकम ॥ १-२-३८ ॥
'Then unfolds the period of Arjuna's exile in the forest, followed by the episode of Abduction of Subhadra. Subsequently, after the Abduction of Subhadra, comes the narrative of the actions above, leading to the episode of the abduction of Hari (Krishna).'॥ 1-2-38 ॥

ततः खाण्डव दाहाख्यं तत्रैव मय दर्शनम सभा पर्व ततः परॊक्तं मन्त्रपर्व ततः परम ॥ १-२-३९ ॥
'Subsequently, the narrative unveils the Khandava-Daha, the very setting where I had my encounter. It then progresses to the Sabha Parva, and further unfolds the intricate details in the Mantra Parva.'॥ 1-2-39 ॥

जरासंध वधः पर्व पर्व दिग विजयस तथा पर्व दिग विजयाद ऊर्ध्वं राजसूयिकम उच्यते ॥ १-२-४० ॥
'Then comes the Jarasandha Vadha Parva, recounting the victorious events in all directions. Following the triumphs in all directions, the narrative ascends to the Rajasuya Parva.'॥ 1-2-40 ॥
