अहनी युयुधे दवे तु कर्णः परबलार्दनः शल्यॊ ऽरधदिवसं तव आसीद गदायुद्धम अतः परम ॥ १-२-२७ ॥

sanskrit

'Karna, the formidable warrior, fought for two days, while Shalya, wielding the mace, engaged in the battle for a day, and thereafter, the conflict escalated further.'॥ 1-2-27 ॥

english translation

ahanI yuyudhe dave tu karNaH parabalArdanaH zalyò 'radhadivasaM tava AsIda gadAyuddhama ataH parama ॥ 1-2-27 ॥
