अस्याख्यानस्य विषये पुराणं वर्तते दविजाः अन्तरिक्षस्य विषये परजा इव चतुर्विधाः ॥ १-२-२३८ ॥
' Just as the diverse forms of life rely on space for their existence, O Brahman, similarly, the Puranas find their foundation in this narrative.' ॥ 1-2-238 ॥
