यत्र सर्वक्षयं कृत्वा ताव उभौ राम केशवौ नातिचक्रमतुः कालं पराप्तं सर्वहरं समम ॥ १-२-२२२ ॥
'In this tragic turn of events, both Balarama and Kesava (Krishna), despite orchestrating the demise of their own lineage, found themselves subject to the inexorable dominion of all-devouring Time when their destined hour arrived.' ॥ 1-2-222 ॥
