तरीणि शलॊकसहस्राणि तावन्त्य एव शतानि च विंशतिश च तथा शलॊकाः संख्यातास तत्त्वदर्शिना ॥ १-२-२११ ॥
' The enlightened ones have counted three thousand verses, one hundred more, and twenty shlokas in truth.' ॥ 1-2-211 ॥

तत आश्रमवासाक्यं पर्व पञ्चदशं समृतम यत्र राज्यं परित्यज्य गान्धारी सहितॊ नृपः धृतराष्ट्राश्रमपदं विदुरश च जगाम ह ॥ १-२-२१२ ॥
'This is the fifteenth section, known as the 'Ashramavasika Parva,' where the king, along with Gandhari, renounces the kingdom and proceeds to the hermitage, while Vidura also departs for the same abode.' ॥ 1-2-212 ॥

यं दृष्ट्वा परस्थितं साध्वी पृथाप्य अनुययौ तदा पुत्रराज्यं परित्यज्य गुरुशुश्रूषणे रता ॥ १-२-२१३ ॥
'Seeing this, the virtuous Pritha (Gandhari) also, ever engaged in cherishing her superiors, leaving the court of her sons, followed the old couple.' ॥ 1-2-213 ॥

यत्र राजा हतान पुत्रान पौत्रान अन्यांश च पार्थिवान लॊकान्तर गतान वीरान अपश्यत पुनरागतान ॥ १-२-२१४ ॥
