तत आश्वमेधिकं नाम पर्व परॊक्तं चतुर्दशम तत संवर्तमरुत्तीयं यत्राख्यानम अनुत्तमम ।। १-२-२०६ ।।

'Then comes the fourteenth Parva Aswamedhika. In this is the excellent story of Samvarta and Marutta.' ।। 1-2-206 ।।

सुवर्णकॊशसंप्राप्तिर जन्म चॊक्तं परिक्षितः दग्धस्यास्त्राग्निना पूर्वं कृष्णात संजीवनं पुनः ।। १-२-२०७ ।।

sanskrit

'Having acquired the golden armor and spoken about the birth, Parikshit, previously burned by Ashwatthama's weapon, was revived once more by Krishna's grace.' ।। 1-2-207 ।।

suvarNakòzasaMprAptira janma còktaM parikSitaH dagdhasyAstrAgninA pUrvaM kRSNAta saMjIvanaM punaH || 1-2-207 ||

'Then is shown the great risk of Arjuna in his encounter with Vabhruvahana the son of Chitrangada (by Arjuna) the appointed daughter of the chief of Manipura. Then the story of the mongoose during the performance of the horse sacrifice. This is the most wonderful Parva called Aswamedhika.' ।। 1-2-209 ।।

'This extraordinary section, known as the 'Ashvamedhika Parva,' has been outlined. Within it, there are one hundred and thirty-three chapters, with one hundred chapters and thirty-three additional sub-chapters.' ।। 1-2-210 ।।
