भगदत्तॊ महाराजॊ यत्र शक्रसमॊ युधि सुप्रतीकेन नागेन सह शस्तः किरीटिना ॥ १-२-१६१ ॥
'In a spectacle reminiscent of a celestial clash, Arjuna, akin to a second Indra, decisively vanquished Bhagadatta on the battlefield, along with his formidable elephant Supratika.' ॥ 1-2-161 ॥

'Subsequently unfolds the poignant episode of the untimely demise of the youthful hero Abhimanyu, who valiantly faced numerous formidable warriors, including Jayadratha, without any support, leading to his tragic fate on the battlefield.' ॥ 1-2-162 ॥

'Following the tragic demise of Abhimanyu, Arjuna, fueled by vengeance, waged a relentless battle, annihilating seven Akshauhinis of enemy forces. In the culmination of this fierce conflict, Arjuna emerged victorious, personally vanquishing Jayadratha and bringing about the complete obliteration of the opposing army.' ॥ 1-2-163 ॥
