तीर्थयात्रा तथैवात्र पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम जटासुरस्य तत्रैव वधः समुपवर्ण्यते ।। १-२-१११ ।।

'Herein, the sacred pilgrimage of the noble-hearted Pandavas is detailed, And in this context, the slaying of the demon Jatasura is also recounted.' ।। 1-2-111 ।।

tIrthayAtrA tathaivAtra pANDavAnAM mahAtmanAma jaTAsurasya tatraiva vadhaH samupavarNyate || 1-2-111 ||

नियुक्तॊ भीमसेनश च दरौपद्या गन्धमादने यत्र मन्दारपुष्पार्थं नलिनीं ताम अधर्षयत ।। १-२-११२ ।।

'Following this, the Pandavas embarked on their journey to Gandhamadana and took refuge in the sanctuary known as Narayana. Subsequently, Bhimasena set forth to Gandhamadana at the behest of Draupadi, pursuing the fragrant blossom(Mandara).' ।। 1-2-112 ।।

यत्रास्य सुमहद युद्धम अभवत सह राक्षसैः यक्षैश चापि महावीर्यैर मणिमत परमुखैस तथा ।। १-२-११३ ।।

'In that location, a formidable conflict unfolded, marked by a fierce encounter between the valiant Bhima and powerful Rakshasas and the mighty Yakshas led by Hanuman. Additionally, Bhima played a pivotal role in defeating the formidable Asura Jata in the course of this epic confrontation.' ।। 1-2-113 ।।

yatrAsya sumahada yuddhama abhavata saha rAkSasaiH yakSaiza cApi mahAvIryaira maNimata paramukhaisa tathA || 1-2-113 ||

'The narrative also includes the account of Agastya, where even the wind is consumed as food, and the visit of Lopamudra for the purpose of obtaining progeny from the sage.' ।। 1-2-114 ।।

'Then hath been described the history of king Mandhata; then the history of prince Jantu; and how king Somaka by offering up his only son (Jantu) in sacrifice obtained a hundred others; then the excellent history of the hawk and the pigeon; then the examination of king Sivi by Indra, Agni, and Dharma.' ।। 1-2-115 ।।
