तत्र रम्ये शुभे देशे कौरवस्य निवेशनम शुशुभे धनसंपूर्णं धनाध्यक्षक्षयॊपमम ॥ १-१९९-३६ ॥
'In a delightful and auspicious area of the city stood the palace of the Pandavas, filled with every kind of wealth, resembling the abode of the celestial treasurer Kubera himself. It gleamed like a mass of clouds illuminated by lightning.' ॥ 1-199-36 ॥

tatra ramye zubhe deze kauravasya nivezanama zuzubhe dhanasaMpUrNaM dhanAdhyakSakSayòpamama ॥ 1-199-36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्रागच्छन दविजा राजन सर्ववेदविदां वराः निवासं रॊचयन्ति सम सर्वभाषाविदस तथा ॥ १-१९९-३७ ॥
'When the city was built, O king, numerous Brahmanas well-versed in all the Vedas and proficient in every language arrived, desiring to reside there.' ॥ 1-199-37 ॥
english translation
tatrAgacchana davijA rAjana sarvavedavidAM varAH nivAsaM ròcayanti sama sarvabhASAvidasa tathA ॥ 1-199-37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवणिजश चाभ्ययुस तत्र देशे दिग्भ्यॊ धनार्थिनः सर्वशिल्पविदश चैव वासायाभ्यागमंस तदा ॥ १-१९९-३८ ॥
'And into that town came numerous merchants from every direction, hoping to earn wealth. Alongside them arrived many skilled artisans, eager to settle there and ply their trades.' ॥ 1-199-38 ॥

vaNijaza cAbhyayusa tatra deze digbhyò dhanArthinaH sarvazilpavidaza caiva vAsAyAbhyAgamaMsa tadA ॥ 1-199-38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउद्यानानि च रम्याणि नगरस्य समन्ततः आम्रैर आम्रातकैर नीपैर अशॊकैश चम्पकैस तथा ॥ १-१९९-३९ ॥
'Surrounding the city were numerous delightful gardens adorned with trees bearing both fruits and flowers. There were mango trees, Amra trees, Nipa trees, Ashoka trees, and Champaka trees.' ॥ 1-199-39 ॥

'Adorned with Punnaga trees, Nagapushpa flowers, Lakuch trees, Panasa trees, Sal trees, Tal trees, Kadamba trees, Bakula trees, and Saketaka trees.' ॥ 1-199-40 ॥
