हितं हि तव तद वाक्यम उक्तवान कुरुसत्तमः भीष्मः शांतनवॊ राजन परतिगृह्णासि तन न च ॥ १-१९७-२ ॥

sanskrit

'Bhishma, the eminent scion of Kuru's lineage, son of Santanu, has spoken wisely and for your benefit. Yet, you choose not to heed his counsel.' ॥ 1-197-2 ॥

english translation

hitaM hi tava tada vAkyama uktavAna kurusattamaH bhISmaH zAMtanavò rAjana paratigRhNAsi tana na ca ॥ 1-197-2 ॥
