सपुत्रा हि पुरा कुन्ती दग्धा जतु गृहे शरुता पुनर्जातान इति समैतान मन्यन्ते सर्वपार्थिवाः ॥ १-१९२-६ ॥
'They also heard that Kunti and all her sons had perished in the fiery blaze of the lac house. Consequently, they viewed the Pandavas as if they had returned from the realm of the dead.' ॥ 1-192-6 ॥

धिक कुर्वन्तस तदा भीष्मं धृतराष्ट्रं च कौरवम कर्मणा सुनृशंसेन पुरॊचन कृतेन वै ॥ १-१९२-७ ॥
'Remembering the cruel scheme devised by Purochana, they started to exclaim, "Shame on Bhishma, shame on Dhritarashtra of the Kuru lineage!"' ॥ 1-192-7 ॥

वृत्ते सवयंवरे चैव राजानः सर्व एव ते यथागतं विप्रजग्मुर विदित्वा पाण्डवान वृतान ॥ १-१९२-७ ॥
'After the swayamvara concluded and Draupadi was married to the Pandavas, all the monarchs who had gathered there returned to their respective kingdoms.' ॥ 1-192-8 ॥

अथ दुर्यॊधनॊ राजा विमना भरातृभिः सह अश्वत्थाम्ना मातुलेन कर्णेन च कृपेण च ॥ १-१९२-९ ॥
'When Duryodhana heard Draupadi's voice proclaim The Lord of Milky Coursers as her chosen flame, His spirit sank, by bitter anguish deeply gored; With brothers, uncle, Karna, Kripa at his side, The stricken prince, dejection scarce concealed, Retraced his steps towards Hastinapur's royal pride. A somber trail that noble company wended, Their hopes for nuptial joys so cruelly upended.' ॥ 1-192-9 ॥

विनिवृत्तॊ वृतं दृष्ट्वा दरौपद्या शवेतवाहनम तं तु दुःशासनॊ वरीडन मन्दं मन्दम इवाब्रवीत ॥ १-१९२-१० ॥
'Seeing Draupadi had chosen the Lord of White Steeds (Arjuna), the dejected Duryodhana departed. Then Duhshasana, in great shame, spoke slowly and hesitantly to him:' ॥ 1-192-10 ॥
