ततॊ राजॊ यज्ञसेनः सपुत्रॊ; जन्यार्थ युक्तं बहु तत तदग्र्यम समानयाम आस सुतां च कृष्णाम; आप्लाव्य रत्नैर बहुभिर विभूष्य ॥ १-१९०-६ ॥
'When Vyasa had spoken thus, King Yajnasena and his son began preparations for the wedding. The monarch arranged various costly items as marriage gifts. Then, after bathing, he brought out his daughter Krishna, adorned with many jewels and pearls.' ॥ 1-190-6 ॥

ततः सर्वे सुहृदस तत्र तस्य; समाजग्मुः सचिवा मन्त्रिणश च दरष्टुं विवाहं परमप्रतीता; दविजाश च पौराश च यथा परधानाः ॥ १-१९०-७ ॥
'Then came to witness the wedding all the friends and relatives of the king, state ministers, numerous Brahmins, and citizens.' ॥ 1-190-7 ॥

तत तस्य वेश्मार्थि जनॊपशॊभितं; विकीर्णपद्मॊत्पलभूषिताजिरम महार्हरत्नौघविचित्रम आबभौ; दिवं यथा निर्मलतारकाचितम ॥ १-१९०-८ ॥
'They all took their seats according to their respective ranks. Adorned with this assembly of prominent individuals, its courtyard embellished with lotuses and lilies strewn about, and enhanced by rows of troops, King Drupada's palace, adorned with diamonds and precious stones, resembled the sky adorned with shining stars.' ॥ 1-190-8 ॥

ततस तु ते कौरवराजपुत्रा; विभूषिताः कुण्डलिनॊ युवानः महार्हवस्त्रा वरचन्दनॊक्षिताः; कृताभिषेकाः कृतमङ्गल करियाः ॥ १-१९०-९ ॥
'Then those princes of the Kuru lineage, youthful and adorned with earrings, dressed in luxurious garments and fragrant with sandal paste, bathed and performed the customary religious rites.' ॥ 1-190-9 ॥

पुरॊहितेनाग्निसमानवर्चसा; सहैव धौम्येन यथाविधि परभॊ करमेण सर्वे विविशुश च तत सदॊ; महर्षभा गॊष्ठम इवाभिनन्दिनः ॥ १-१९०-१० ॥
'Accompanied by their priest Dhaumya, radiant like fire, they entered the wedding hall sequentially and with joyful hearts, akin to powerful bulls entering a cow-pen.' ॥ 1-190-10 ॥
