पातालज्वलनावासम असुराणां च बन्धनम भयंकरं च सत्त्वानां पयसां निधिम अर्णवम ॥ १-१९-६ ॥
'The dwelling of subterranean fire, the refuge of the Asuras, the dread of all beings, the vast reservoir of water, and eternally unchanging.' ॥ 1-19-6 ॥
english translation
pAtAlajvalanAvAsama asurANAM ca bandhanama bhayaMkaraM ca sattvAnAM payasAM nidhima arNavama ॥ 1-19-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशुभं दिव्यम अमर्त्यानाम अमृतस्याकरं परम अप्रमेयम अचिन्त्यं च सुपुण्य जलम अद्भुतम ॥ १-१९-७ ॥
'It is holy, beneficial to the gods, and is the great source of nectar; without limits, inconceivable, sacred, and highly wonderful.' ॥ 1-19-7 ॥
english translation
zubhaM divyama amartyAnAma amRtasyAkaraM parama aprameyama acintyaM ca supuNya jalama adbhutama ॥ 1-19-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptघॊरं जलचराराव रौद्रं भैरवनिस्वनम गम्भीरावर्त कलिलं सर्वभूतभयंकरम ॥ १-१९-८ ॥
'It is dark, terrible with the sound of aquatic creatures, tremendously roaring, and full of deep whirlpools. It is an object of terror to all creatures.' ॥ 1-19-8 ॥

ghòraM jalacarArAva raudraM bhairavanisvanama gambhIrAvarta kalilaM sarvabhUtabhayaMkarama ॥ 1-19-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवेलादॊलानिल चलं कषॊभॊद्वेग समुत्थितम वीचीहस्तैः परचलितैर नृत्यन्तम इव सर्वशः ॥ १-१९-९ ॥
'Moved by the winds blowing from its shores and heaving high, agitated and disturbed, it seems to dance everywhere with uplifted hands represented by its surges.' ॥ 1-19-9 ॥

velAdòlAnila calaM kaSòbhòdvega samutthitama vIcIhastaiH paracalitaira nRtyantama iva sarvazaH ॥ 1-19-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचन्द्र वृद्धिक्षयवशाद उद्वृत्तॊर्मि दुरासदम पाञ्चजन्यस्य जननं रत्नाकरम अनुत्तमम ॥ १-१९-१० ॥
'Full of swelling billows caused by the waxing and waning of the moon the parent of Vasudeva's great conch called Panchajanya, the great mine of gems.' ॥ 1-19-10 ॥
