सैवम उक्ताब्रवीत कन्या देवं वरदम ईश्वरम पतिं सर्वगुणॊपेतम इच्छामीति पुनः पुनः ॥ १-१८९-४३ ॥
'Upon being addressed thus, the maiden repeatedly said to the Supreme Lord, the bestower of boons, "I wish to obtain a husband possessed of every virtue."' ॥ 1-189-43 ॥
